Fairy Cot Quilt

Irene has just finished this beautiful Fairy Cot Quilt and Rabbit
for her Grand Daughter's new baby girl, Lucy.
The fairies are cut out and appliqued on.
It is such a beautiful quilt.
The rabbit was a pattern I designed last month.
It has been made in so many different fabrics.

Mr Rabbit

Another smart looking rabbit came into the studio.
He had many a cuddle as he went round the group at,
'Show and Tell'.
Apparently he  has also cheered up several people in hospital too!

Embroidered Rabbit

This beautiful rabbit was made out of several embroidered table mats.
She was made by Sylvia who has been saving linen for along time wondering what she was going to do with it as it is not used much on tables today by her family.
When making the rabbit remember to mirror image your pattern pieces to get a left and right but also consider where the embroidery is going to fit in the shape of the pieces.

Ticking Rabbit

I don't often make toys but I did want to make a Rabbit this month.
I found so many rabbit patterns on the internet and amongst my
magazine and books but I wanted one
that was a little bit different and we could use up the embroidered tray and table cloths
we have all collected over the years because we can't bear to see them lost.
I made up a display of my family ones for the studio wall.

I encouraged visitors to look out their embroidered items and see whether
they were going to use them, keep them or now recycle them.
Using the many patterns available in the studio.
There were lots of kits too which were then cut up and used this month!
