We made lots of paper in the studio.

Of course you have to add items, in the top 

photo the honesty is beautiful.

Mary is creating an Embroidered Book.

Full of interesting creative techniques.

This page is a piece of dyed velvet, dyed scrim,

embroidery threads and beads.

It is an interesting contemporary drawn thread technique.

Making a stitch and pulling back the threads of the scrim,

stitching it into a circle revealing more of the 

velvet underneath.

French knots and beads are added to give it more detail.

Jade Fabric Embroidery

Last month we made new fabric backgrounds out of many fabrics

and textures you wouldn't normally put together.

When painted with procion dyes, acrylic paints and mediums with

lots of stitch, machine and by hand.

The finished pieces look wonderful.

Paper and Fabric Stitch

One of the workshops this month is using all the fabrics and papers you don't normally use that have texture or you wouldn't normally use, joining and stitching them together. neutrals are good because then they can be painted.
