Blue and Green Quilt with Borders

I have been working on a commission for a 25th Anniversary.
I have loved working with these colours as they are some of
my favourits.
The borders are now on and Mum helped me
layer the backing and wadding together on Friday so
it is now ready for me to quilt.
The clients want a freemotion quilted centre
and the borders  freemotion quilting in silver thread.
I will show updates as I go shortly.

Adrienne's Wednesday Quilt Group

Adrienne's Hand Patchwork and Quilting Group meet alternate
Wednesday week in The Old Art Room Studio.
It is always lovely to see so many quilts being made and
so varied. The Quilt Table I feel is celebrated
when quilts are laid out on it.
Such a lovely afternoon.
Come in and see from 2pm until 4.

The Grommet Bag Workshop was to raise money for  The Linus Project.
Grommet Bag, named because of the large metal rings used to hang the
handles from.
Christine and Chris made their bags out of the
same material which they brought from
The Old Art Room, we laugh because the material has been
on the shelf for some time and it was only when they
were choosing something to make their bags from did they see it.
The fabric works great.

and there is a Linus Project Exhibition on this week end at
Barn Ruche, Watton

I love the motto,
"A Quilt is a hug you can keep"

On alternate Wednesdays, Adrienne teaches a
Patchwork and Quilting Class in The Old Art Room,
 specialising on Hand Work.
It's a lovely group and always has lots to share.
Adrienne teaches a technique each time and has lots of tips for
finishing projects.

Group Star Quilt

What a lovely Star Quilt in the making. It is a group quilt.
Each member made a star and Heather has been sewing them altogether.
That is always a job and a half, as blocks made by so many, are never
quite square!
Thank you Heather :)
Raffle tickets go on sale shortly, raising money for church restoration and
play area equipment.
